Brief description

We’re looking for an Application Support Analyst to provide a comprehensive and ‘best practice’ IT service regarding systems support issues, projects and practical application. Reporting directly into the IT Manager you will provide customer-facing support within our Data Centre. If you have the knowledge and experience the position requires, then we want to hear from you.

Purpose of the role

You will be joining an existing team of Application Support Analysts providing support with lease administration and workflow applications. This will involve having responsibility for implementing changes requested by clients, providing an application support implementation and process improvements service to Paragon Bank clients, staff and the management team.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Create reports in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Contribute to the on-going development of system automation of tasks to remove responsibility from users and reporting systems to improve the efficiency and accuracy of data
  • Conduct business analysis on requirements as advised by clients and the management team
  • Advise and liaise with clients and application providers to support process change
  • Undertake data migration work between systems
  • Support the business users in considering and implementing process and procedural change and managing the related systems impact
  • Produce documentation to support changes as they occur specifying changes, the implications for user procedures, systems configuration and reports
  • Test, implement and prepare supporting documentation in connection with new versions of applications as they are released and prior to implementation
  • Implement, test and integrate new application products into the organisation
  • Liaise with operations and clients to support and develop robust and effective business processes whilst identifying opportunities to improve these processes
  • Undertake data cleansing work as required by internal and external clients
  • Provide assistance to ensure that an appropriate level of support is provided for the application support helpdesk and the project portfolio

Skills

  • Familiarity with Windows Server
  • Report Writing in SSRS Version 2008 R2 upwards (SQL Server Reporting Services)
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of SQL server administration via the use of SSMS
  • Ability to demonstrate strong Windows Domain knowledge
  • Crystal Reports and Asset Finance knowledge
  • An understanding Direct Debit processes for both BACS and SEPA
  • MS Dynamic Skills

Qualifications and experience

  • Previous experience within a similar role
  • MS SQL 2005 – 2014, T-SQL, SSIS 2008/2012, SSRS, Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
  • To have experience of workflow tools to support business processes
  • Experience in managing third party application providers
  • Experience with SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services) would also be beneficial

Working hours

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.30pm (one hour for lunch).

Training

Relevant training will be provided.
