Brief description

Do you have excellent administrative, communication and organisational skills? We’re looking for someone with previous experience in a similar role who will adopt a methodical approach to work ensuring accuracy at all times. Are you this person?

Purpose of the role

To provide administrative support for all functions within Paragon Personal Finance, including support to brokers and underwriters.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the underwriters in the processing of new applications
  • Handle cheque cancellations and coordinate reissue of payments to customers
  • Provide cover answering telephone calls from brokers and customers
  • Process commission payments to brokers in accordance with procedures and audit requirements
  • To monitor and action claw-back of commission
  • Carry out pre-underwriting checks before cases are distributed to underwriters
  • General administrative functions, including filing, photocopying and imaging
  • Provide assistance to colleagues across the department when personal workloads permit to ensure business objectives are met


  • Demonstrate excellent keyboard skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be committed to providing a quality service whilst having an organised and flexible approach to work

Qualifications and experience

Grade C or above GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics and previous experience in an administrative environment essential.

Working hours

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm (one hour for lunch)
