Brief description

Are you enthusiastic, with good presentation skills and previous experience in leadership and management within a vehicle finance sales environment? We’re looking for someone to support our team helping to build and maintain relationships.

Purpose of the role

To manage and develop the sales team for vehicle finance, ensuring excellent customer service is delivered to all our clients and prospective clients. You will proactively assist the team in seeking new clients, revenue for the company and effectively convert lead opportunities.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Support the team to build and maintain new and existing relationships whilst utilising other introductory sources for example accountants, vendors, client referral, other lenders or directly. To ensure volume and income targets for new deals are achieved
  • Produce, adapt and implement a strategic business plan. To target vehicle finance sector, supporting strategic growth plans
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of the asset based finance industry including Paragon products and services, competitors, introducers, risks, client industry, market and sectors
  • Work with and liaise with all departments to ensure new business delivery exceeds client expectations
  • Complete regular 1:1 reviews with the team, setting and monitoring objectives, addressing behavioural issues and conducting annual appraisals
  • Promote the whole Paragon Group, improving integration across the Bank, acting as an ambassador for Paragon Bank
  • Working with the Managing Director to produce marketing plans to support the strategic business and growth plans
  • Manage all marketing mailshots, exhibitions, stands and shows
  • Consistently and accurately provide information on the Paragon systems to be used in weekly and monthly sales analysis and reports
  • Ensure all tools available to the role and the team are utilised and reported on monthly to the senior management team

Skills

  • A good understanding of vehicle types and specifications
  • A high level of numeracy and literacy
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills which include Excel and Outlook
  • Customer service skills and the ability to work alone and as part of a team
  • Able to understand and prepare asset finance proposals for underwriting
  • Able to interpret statutory and management accounts
  • Good presentation and interpersonal skills, planning and organising

Qualifications and experience

Previous leadership and management experience in a vehicle finance sales environment, and a full driving licence is essential. Previous finance experience in vehicle leasing desired.

Working hours

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm (one hour for lunch). A flexible approach to working hours is required.
